Sampling Equipment
Cross Belt Sampling Machines
Optima International Limited have developed a comprehensive range of Cross Belt Sampling Machines, which can be retro fitted to troughed belt conveyors, with minimal modifications necessary. The samplers extract representative samples, direct from the conveyor by a sample cutter, which sweeps across the conveyor belt at timed intervals, to collect samples to meet the requirements of British and ISO sampling standards. Division equipment and sample crushers can also be provided to offer a fully automatic sampling system, which will meet the demands of quality assurance within the power, coal and mineral industries.
Linear Bucket Samplers
Heavy duty and Medium duty automatic linear bucket primary sampling machines have been developed to meet the ever increasing quality control demands of the power, coal, steel and quarrying industry. The samplers are designed to extract representative samples from a falling stream in accordance with British and ISO sampling standards. Extremely robust construction to cope with large throughputs, provide long life and reliability. The design isolates all moving parts from the product stream and allows easy access for maintenance and testing. The main traverse speed is infinitely variable between 1.0M/sec and 2.25M/sec with an appropriate creep speed to the discharge position. The machines can be double or single end discharge and the bucket cutter width can be adjusted. All safety features beyond the requirements of HASAWA are included in the standard machine. Division equipment and sample crushers can also be provided to offer a fully automatic sampling system, which will meet the demands of quality assurance within the power, coal and mineral industries.
Rotary Head Sampler
Optima have designed a range of Rotary Head Chute Sampling Machines which can be retro fitted to conveyor head chutes to extract representative samples from the product stream trajectory as it flows from the conveyor head drum. The sampler is controlled by an adjustable timer to ensure that samples are taken at suitable intervals to ensure the sampling system meets the requirements of British and ISO sampling standards. Division equipment and sample crushers can also be provided to offer a fully automatic sampling system, which will meet the demands of quality assurance within the power, coal and mineral industries.
Auger Sampling System
Optima International’s patented Auger Sampling System is designed to extract
representative samples from road vehicles or rail trucks to meet the demands of
British and ISO sampling standards. The auger system is a totally unmanned fully
automatic system using swipe-card technology controlled by traffic lights and barriers.
The system also includes secondary division chute-work, carousel sample canister
system to segregate samples and a crushing plant if required. Many power stations
have installed this equipment to monitor the quality of coal delivered to the site by road
vehicles prior to being off-loaded at the stockpile.
